It was discussed today at the NEILTC meeting to offer (1) ½ price scholarship for tuition to the Police Executive Leadership Academy which will be held at the Elkhart Co SD on the following dates

• Module 1 Feb 27-March 2^nd 2012
• Module 2 May 14^th –May 18^th 2012
• Module 3 September 17^th –September 21^st 2012
• Module 4 December 3^rd –December 7^th 2012

The course cost is $750 per session

The NEILTC is offering one tuition assistance scholarship at $1,500.  Anyone interested must have a formal request letter submitted no later than December 31^st 2011 to the council.  The request will be reviewed by the NEILTC in January 2012.

Any scholarship award winners will be required to complete all four sessions within the year or the awarded department will be responsible for reimbursement of the $1,500 scholarship.

This course has been described as one of the best courses for leadership and received high praises at our meeting.  All supervisors and administrators are encouraged to attend.
